EMWQ Widows and Children's Fund Assistance Continues

We are happy to continue the Fund’s support for the neediest widows and children of the Chicago Fire Department. Widows whose monthly pension is at the current minimum and all children under the age of 18 whose parent member died while in active service of the Chicago Fire Department will receive $1,100 in financial assistance this holiday season. The total amount of funds distributed this year from the Fund and EMWQ will be $431,200, which will be paid to 314 minimum annuity widows and 78 children. This is only possible because of the Gift Reserve maintained by the Fund and because of the generosity of firefighters, paramedics, retirees, and members of the community who contribute to the EMWQ Fund. If you would like to make a holiday contribution, please visit widowsandchildren.org. Thank You!
