FABF Website Admin / Monday, November 3, 2025 / Categories: News & Events Conversion to Northern Trust Payroll Services The Firemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago (FABF) has retained the services of Northern Trust's Benefit Payment Services Division, as the payer for monthly annuity benefit disbursements. As a result, beginning in 2026 all retirement payments will be issued by Northern Trust. If you receive a direct deposit, your funds will continue to be deposited on the last business day of the month. If you are a legacy recipient of a paper check, your monthly check will be mailed in advance to ensure receipt by the payable date. Future services offered by Northern Trust's Benefit Payment Division include on-line access to your 1099R, your latest monthly statement, and the ability to review your earning history.
