The family of Firefighter Michael Altman, his crew, and the entire Chicago Fire Department suffered a profound loss with his line of duty death in March. We extend our deepest condolences to all who knew and worked alongside Firefighter Altman.

Firewater Saloon (6689 N. Oliphant Avenue) will be sponsoring a fundraiser in support of Firefighter Altman’s family and the Ende, Menzer, Walsh and Quinn Retirees’ Widows’ and Children’s Assistance Fund. When: Sunday, April 19, 2026 * Time: Noon to 4:00 p.m. Firewater Saloon has generously donated all food and beverages for this event.
